The Friday Five
When was the last time you...
1. ...sent a handwritten letter?
I wrote a mini letter to my brother for his birthday last week. I handwrite notes all the time, but the last substantial letter I handwrote was to my J in September.
2. ...baked something from scratch or made something by hand?
I went nuts baking cookies at Christmas (following Martha's recipies, but still, not from a mix or a pre-made dough). I have tons of ideas for things to make by hand; I'm just waiting until I have my sewing machine here. Hopefully by September...cross your fingers.
3. ...camped in a tent?
I believe the only time I've ever camped in a tent was the summer of '95 (I think) with my fellow peer ministers from church.
4. ...volunteered your time to church, school, or community?
In college, it seemed I was doing volunteer work constantly - tutoring, coaching bball, sorority philanthropy activities. In October, I helped my church do a Pedals for Progress thing where we fixed up old bikes to donate to people in other countries. I think that was the last time. I'm such a slug. :p
5. ...helped a stranger?
I gave directions on Saturday. I always hold the door to the bus open for the next person.
