Three Questions Revisited

1. What celebrity did you crush on as a child/adolescent?
Oh man, who didn't I crush on?? :) My first crush ever was Ryne Sandberg, famed Cubbie. Later on, Mark Grace (Cubbie), B.J. Armstrong (da Bulls), Zach Morris (Saved By the Bell), Bon Jovi, Luke Perry (of course!), Corey Haim, Wil Wheaton...I can't remember any others, but I'm sure there were more :)

2. What would a nightmare blind date be like?
Someone who had nothing to say and kept trying to touch me. Also, someone who tried to talk with his mouth full or chewed loudly. Ooooh, meeting parents or close friends would be really really bad too.

3. If you had $10 K but couldn't spend it on yourself, donate it to charity, or put it in savings, what would you do?I would buy all of my favorite people plane tickets to come visit me and put them up in some schwanky hotel (maybe the Wi11ard Intercontinental or some cute little place in Georgetown).

1. What has been the biggest surprise/adjustment you've had to make about life after college?
Going out drinking 11 nights in a row is NOT a good idea when you have a full time job. Oh, and it's so not cool to be hungover at work :) Also, meeting boys is much more difficult and a little scary!

2. If you could have your pick of careers, what would you do?
Pop singer! Or childrens' book editor/author. I think the latter is more realistic :)

3. What were YOUR best and worst AXiD experiences?
Best: Meeting so many great people (in my chapter and in others), all of the leadership positions I held (favorites were chapter life vp, rho chi, panhellenic rep, and greek endeavor (new member retreat) facilitator), being a small, close-knit chapter, the rituals. I love the rituals!
Worst: Being a small chapter on a campus that averaged 100+ members per chapter (we ranged from 60-20 when I was there). Having to close the chapter. Catty, stupid stuff that some of my sisters did.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I definitely learned a lot about myself and about how to handle difficult situations. It would have been fun to be in a more "popular" house, but I don't think I would have grown as much.

From Brookie

Why is your most favorite part of your body your most favorite part of your body?
My most favorite part of my body is my smile. It's my most favorite because it shows off my personality and the person I am inside more than anything else (although I also have a nice rack...).

What methods do you employ to keep yourself organized?
I love making lists. I also have a dry-erase board that has my entire schedule on it. The main part is my memory though. I seriously remember everything. It's really scary. I had a palm pilot for awhile, but I rarely used it because everything was in my head. Weird. I use Microsoft Money for my finances. I use the Outlook calendar religiously at work. I also have a desk-blotter calendar at work that I love.

Imagine you are fifty-five...what are you most proud of (real or imagined for your future)?
Kissing R@ef L@frentz :) I'm proud of myself for taking risks on things like moving to a new city, traveling a lot, meeting people any way I can. I'm proud of myself for working hard. I hope I'll be proud of the person I've chosen to spend my life with and the children/grandchildren who have come out of that relationship. I'm proud of myself for being a loving and caring person, but also knowing when I need to take care of myself instead.
